According to glavcom.ua: A U.S. Navy helicopter and a fighter jet flying from the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier crashed in the South China Sea on October 26. These two incidents occurred with a half-hour interval. This was reported by the press service of the U.S. Pacific Fleet.

The MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter of the U.S. Navy crashed around 2:45 PM local time. All three crew members were rescued. Later, at 3:15 PM, the F/A-18F Super Hornet fighter jet also crashed into the sea during routine operations from the Nimitz carrier. Both crew members ejected and were rescued.

“All personnel involved in the flights are safe and in stable condition. The reasons for both incidents are currently under investigation,” stated the U.S. Pacific Fleet.

Additionally, earlier in California near the Lemore airbase, there was a crash involving an F-35 fighter jet. The pilot managed to eject. Also, in Arizona, a medical transport plane crashed, resulting in the deaths of four people.

Incident with Passenger Plane Over the U.S.

An incident occurred in the skies over the U.S. involving a United Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 8 passenger plane, which was operating flight UA1093 from Denver to Los Angeles. The aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing in Salt Lake City due to a crack in the cockpit windshield. One crew member sustained minor injuries.

The two aviation events in the South China Sea involving the helicopter and fighter jet, along with the incident of the passenger plane over Salt Lake City, remind us of the constant need to uphold high safety standards in this complex field of aviation.
