Automotive Boom: Import of Used Cars in Ukraine is Actively Developing

According to hvylya.net: In May 2025, 22.5 thousand used passenger cars imported from abroad were registered for the first time in Ukraine, which is a 6% increase compared to April this year and a 12.4% increase compared to May 2024, reported by the Institute for Market Research.

Statistics show a constant increase in the import of used cars since the beginning of the year. From January to May, 14.5 thousand, 17.7 thousand, 20 thousand, 21.2 thousand, and 22.5 thousand cars were imported to Ukraine, respectively.

Most Popular Models and Manufacturers

Among manufacturers, Volkswagen is in the highest demand, surpassing Audi. Nissan remains in third place in terms of popularity.

In the ranking of individual models, the first place is held by the Volkswagen Golf, second by the Skoda Octavia, and the third position is held by the Volkswagen Tiguan.

The growth of imported used cars indicates the restoration of purchasing power among Ukrainians and the stabilization of the automotive market in the country.

The data on the increase in the import of used cars in May 2025 indicates a positive growth in demand in the car market in Ukraine, which may signify some improvement in the economic situation in the country. The popularity of Volkswagen models among Ukrainian consumers is also highlighted.
