According to Главком: Detectives from Ukraine's Bureau of Economic Security (BEB) have uncovered a large-scale illegal cigarette manufacturing operation in the Cherka region. The raid resulted in the seizure of equipment and finished products valued at approximately 30 million hryvnias (roughly $730,000 USD). Seven individuals involved in organizing the underground factory are under investigation.

During the searches, investigators discovered:

• A full-cycle cigarette production line;
• 295,745 packs of cigarettes bearing various brand names;
• 95 sacks of fermented tobacco;
• 268 boxes of packaging materials;
• 138 rolls of cigarette paper;
• Over $36,000 in U.S. currency;
• A cargo vehicle;
• Mobile phones and handwritten ledgers.

The group's members are residents of the Cherkasy, Odesa, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

The illicit factory had a production capacity of around 50,000 cigarette packs per day.
