Meteorologist Didenko Forecasts a Wet and Unsettled End to March in Ukraine
Weather Outlook for Late March in Ukraine
According to ХВИЛЯ: An active atmospheric cyclone will bring unstable and rainy conditions to Ukraine as March draws to a close. Forecasters predict significant temperature contrasts across the country's regions. Widespread wet weather with periodic precipitation is expected, while the temperature map will be highly varied.
Regional Temperature Forecasts
Western Ukraine will see a cooldown, with daytime highs between +4 and +9 degrees Celsius, and possible snow in the mountains. Most other regions will maintain a comfortable warmth of +10 to +15 degrees. The highest temperatures, reaching +14 to +19 degrees, are forecast for:
- Poltava Oblast
- Sumy Oblast
- Kharkiv Oblast
- Cherkasy Oblast
- Kropyvnytskyi
In Kyiv, the end of the month will be marked by rain, though the capital will remain relatively warm with highs up to +15 degrees. This pattern of unsettled spring weather is typical for the region as winter transitions to spring.
The wet trend with intermittent showers is set to continue throughout the week. A change is anticipated closer to the weekend. For Palm Sunday, preliminary forecasts suggest precipitation will linger only in southern Ukraine, while the rest of the country can expect sunny and moderately warm weather.
A cyclone over Italy tomorrow, and a cyclone over Ukraine. Don't forget your umbrellas tomorrow, something for blood pressure, and possibly a headache-the weather is predicted to be unstable.

She also emphasized the importance of spring rains for the emergence of green leaves: 'Because without the spring rains, the green leaves simply refuse to appear.'
The unfavorable weather conditions in late March could impact agricultural work. The damp and cold weather in western regions may hinder the rapid development of vegetation. Meanwhile, the warmth in central and eastern oblasts could promote active growth, though the likelihood of rain may disrupt field operations. Given this, farmers should be prepared to adjust their planning and work schedules in the coming days.
As Ukraine experiences this wet and unsettled weather, it's essential to stay informed about the specific regional forecasts. For instance, rain is expected in several areas, which could further influence daily activities and agricultural preparations. Understanding these localized weather patterns can help residents better navigate the changing conditions as March comes to a close.
