Russian soldier on leave killed a judge over affair with his wife: details
Military investigators in Russia have detained Private Alexei Kostrikin on charges of murdering the owner of a house and raping his wife in the village of Nova Tavolzhanka in the Shebekinsky district in October 2025.
According to the investigation, Kostrikin attacked, killed the homeowner, raped his wife, and fled the scene. A criminal case has been opened, and a request for a preventive measure of detention has been sought in advance.
"Investigative actions are being conducted in the criminal case aimed at collecting and securing evidence," the military investigators reported.
A horrifying murder of federal judge Vasily Vetlugin occurred in the city of Kamyshin in the Volgograd region. The man's body was found with numerous bodily injuries on the evening of August 14 on Soviet street.
After the investigation, it was established that resident of Kamyshin Sergey K. discovered his wife's connections with Vetlugin. After that, during a meeting near the local court, Sergey used a weapon and a knife to take revenge on the judge. After the attack, he surrendered to the police.
"After committing the murder, the man voluntarily surrendered to the authority of the law," law enforcement agencies reported.
