As a reminder, on July 7, in Uzhhorod, during a thunderstorm, lightning struck a wooden house, which caught fire in less than a minute after the strike. It is likely that damage to the electrical wiring due to the lightning was the cause. Two teams of emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and began extinguishing the fire. The homeowner was not present at the time; he was outside the city.

Such cases are not rare: last year in Ternopil, lightning struck a high-rise building, and in May of this year - one of the houses in the capital's Obolon district.
