Serhii Dronov: A Life Cut Short

According to Главком: Serhii Dronov, a 41-year-old soldier, was killed on November 22, 2024, while fighting in the Kursk region of Russia. Born on September 23, 1983, in the city of Rivne, he attended Secondary School No. 11 and later studied at the Kremenets Forestry Technical College, where he trained as a carpenter. After completing his education, he worked at the Rivne Regional Branch of the Ukrainian Society of the Deaf, crafting furniture.

Dronov was called up to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in September 2024. He died while carrying out a combat mission on the territory of the aggressor state. For a long time after his death, he was listed as missing in action. A farewell ceremony for Serhii Dronov was held on July 2, 2026, at Independence Square in Rivne. He was laid to rest in the Alley of Heroes at the 'Nove' cemetery in Rivne.

Remembering Serhii

Serhii leaves behind his son, parents, and sister, who have lost their steadfast pillar of support. His mother spoke of his character:

“He was a kind person and a loving father who devoted much of his time to raising his son. From childhood, Serhii loved fishing and also had a talent for drawing. He was very responsible and never refused to help anyone. He always supported the family and was a reliable rock for his parents.”
