According to Главком: On January 7, active combat activities were recorded in Ukraine, with 255 combat clashes and 72 attempts at an offensive by Russian troops in the Pokrovsk direction. Russian forces launched one missile strike and 16 airstrikes, using two missiles and dropping 66 guided bombs. A total of 2353 kamikaze drones were involved, and 2363 shellings were conducted.
Situation at the front
In the South Slobozhansk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled three enemy assaults. Russian troops attempted to storm positions in populated areas 14 times:

- Starytsya
- Zeleny
- Tykhyi
- Vilchi
- Ternova
- Kutkivtsi
In the Kupiansk direction, the aggressor attempted to break through the defense of Ukrainian forces 12 times.
In the Lyman direction, Russian invaders attacked the Defense Forces' positions 15 times. Meanwhile, in the Sloviansk direction, five enemy assaults were repelled, and in the Kramatorsk direction - nine enemy attacks. In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian forces made 19 attempts at an offensive.
The enemy was particularly active in the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian forces managed to repel 72 attempts to advance. The situation at the front remains tense, and Ukrainian defense forces continue to perform their tasks, ensuring the protection of the country's territory.
