Pro-Russian Bulgarian Party Revival Demands Cancellation of Ukraine Agreement

According to Главком: A resolution submitted to Bulgaria’s National Assembly by the pro-Russian Revival Party seeks to terminate a ten-year bilateral security agreement with Ukraine. Party representative Petar Petrov introduced the proposal. Additionally, Revival has put forward a separate draft resolution to revoke Bulgaria’s consent for state guarantees totaling €1.2 billion, part of a €90 billion EU loan package designated for Ukraine.

Agreement Under Fire and Political Ramifications

The security pact with Ukraine was signed on March 30 of this year by Acting Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov. Under this agreement, officials have already held initial joint consultations, adopted a common statement, and agreed to develop a roadmap for practical steps.
