Ukrenergo's debt to green power plants: the amount of debt has been named

According to glavcom.ua: According to recent data, the company 'Ukrenergo' owes 'Guaranteed Buyer' UAH 15.3 billion. Settlements between them are not conducted in full, which creates financial difficulties, noted the head of the Association of Solar Energy of Ukraine.

Currently, the debt of the 'Guaranteed Buyer' to electricity producers has been reduced to about UAH 22 billion. The situation is improving, but the problem of debt has not yet been completely resolved, the expert noted.

Debt repayment and new tariffs

At the beginning of 2025, Law No. 4213-IX was adopted, which plans to use UAH 10.7 billion saved by 'Ukrenergo' on dispatching in 2023 to repay debts to electricity producers. In addition, a new tariff for electricity transmission has been approved at UAH 686.23/MWh excluding VAT, which is 30% higher than in the previous year.

Ukrenergo is reducing debts to producers, but tracking the situation on this issue remains an important task for the country's energy sector.
