Boris Johnson: Ukraine has the right to strike at bases in Russia
Boris Johnson spoke at the Ukrainian Defense Innovation Forum and supported Ukraine's right to attack military bases in Russia from which attacks on civilians are launched. He emphasized the need for financial support for Ukraine's defense capabilities and highlighted that the country's future depends on identity and choice, not territory. In particular, he noted that it is important to reaffirm Ukraine's choice in the direction of the West, provide Western security guarantees, and demonstrate that the country is moving toward European standards, including NATO membership. Additionally, Johnson expressed the view that a ceasefire could be a better solution to the conflict, even if it means losing control over part of the territory in Kyiv. Ukrainian veterans thanked him for his support by gifting him a trophy fragment of a 'shakhed' drone.
