In 2025, there is a boom in military recruitment vacancies in Ukraine. The number of job postings in the Defense Forces has increased more than threefold, reaching 5,861, which is 238% higher than last year's figures. Despite the significant increase in vacancies, salary levels have remained stable, although noticeable changes have been observed in certain regions, such as Ivano-Frankivsk region.

The median salary for military vacancies is 70,500 UAH. Meanwhile, in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, salaries surged by 47%, reaching 110,500 UAH. This indicates the growing demand for military specialties in regions experiencing active relocation of businesses from frontline territories.

In-Demand Professions and Labor Market Challenges

The most in-demand professions in this sector have become:

• drone operators
• battle medics
• drivers
• shooters

Salaries for drone operators range from 70,000 to 120,000 UAH, which also indicates high competition in this field. Despite the increase in vacancies, the total number of responses to job postings has decreased by 6.2%. These trends suggest that while the labor market in the military sector is expanding, certain challenges remain relevant for potential candidates.

The increase in vacancies in the military sector reflects not only the needs of the Defense Forces but also the overall situation in the country, where war continues. The demand for specialists capable of performing specific tasks, including drone management, indicates technological advancement in military affairs. At the same time, the decrease in the number of responses to vacancies may indicate that potential candidates might be cautious in selecting a career in wartime conditions, which also requires a deep analysis of the labor market situation.
