Some Ukrainians will not receive pensions in August: who has been deprived of payments
The Ministry of Social Policy reports that in August some Ukrainian pensioners may temporarily be without pension payments due to problems accessing banking services or identification discrepancies.
This concerns pensioners who are internally displaced persons from occupied territories before February 24, 2022, who have not used bank accounts for a long time, have not confirmed their identity, or have not updated their documents.
Pension funds do not disappear, but only remain in the fund until the data is clarified or access to the account is restored. After the pensioner's death, money can be inherited by their relatives.
Andrey Reva reminded that the changes affect pensioners with IDP status from 2014 to February 24, 2022. More than 10 billion hryvnias have been accumulated in their accounts, which can be transferred to the fund if the person does not confirm their identity in time.
At the same time, if the person can prove their liveliness or relatives appear, the funds can be returned. Pensioners are given six months for this.
In August, there may be temporary delays in pension payments for some Ukrainian pensioners from occupied territories due to failures in identity verification procedures or bank account checks. Pension funds do not disappear, but only remain in the fund, and in case of death, they can be inherited by relatives.
