Russian attack leaves Chernihiv without electricity: how the city is being supplied with water
Chernihiv has come under Russian attacks and is currently facing a lack of electricity and water. As reported by 'Hlavkom' citing information from 'Chernihivvodokanal', the waterworks workers are trying to resolve the issue by launching facilities from alternative power sources, but are urging residents to prepare for a possible water deficit.
The waterworks employees are preparing to deliver water to various districts of the city, and the head of the Chernihiv OVA, Vyacheslav Chaus, noted that the city has fallen victim to mass drone attacks that damaged infrastructure, including thermal and energy facilities. Therefore, if electricity supply is not restored quickly, additional points of resilience will be deployed.
The press service of the waterworks reported that open water supply columns are available for residents of multi-storey buildings, and it is also necessary to divert wastewater in the city and launch more than 20 pumping stations for sewage.
Thus, the residents of Chernihiv are facing difficult conditions during the Russian attacks, and the city authorities are making every effort to provide residents with the necessary resources and services, as well as to prevent possible crisis situations in the future.
