Ukraine is 70% ready for winter: Kuleba reported on the preparations results
According to glavcom.ua: Deputy Prime Minister Oleksii Kuleba announced that Ukraine is 70% ready for the heating season and everything is on schedule. The housing stock, social sphere, heating supply, and infrastructure are at the appropriate level of readiness. The government has also launched a support program for frontline regions, covering 238 communities and over 6.6 million people. Families who heat their homes independently will receive financial assistance for the purchase of fuel, as well as compensation for electricity.
- Housing stock: 71% readiness from 145 thousand houses.
- Social sphere: Approximately 19.5 thousand institutions are ready to work.
- Heating supply: 76% of boiler houses are ready for the heating season.
- Infrastructure: Over 1200 km of water pipelines are prepared.
Kuleba noted that this is already the fourth heating season in wartime conditions, but most of the damaged infrastructure facilities have been restored.
The government is also actively constructing a new water pipeline for Mykolaiv, which is one of the key infrastructure projects in the conditions of the conflict. The work is nearing completion, and the city will soon receive sustainable water supply.
