Diversion on the Warsaw-Lublin railway: Kyiv-Warsaw train delayed
The Kyiv-Warsaw train is experiencing delays due to an explosion on the tracks near Lublin. An attempted sabotage has led to the complete destruction of a section of the track, causing trains to temporarily operate on a neighboring line. An investigation into the incident is ongoing, and the schedule for all trains may change by several dozen minutes.
In Poland, damage to the railway was also previously reported in the village of Żychin in the Masovian Voivodeship, which caused a temporary halt to traffic on the Warsaw-Lublin route. Authorities promptly took measures to redirect transport to other tracks and ensure passenger safety.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk emphasized the importance of the Warsaw-Lublin railway route for delivering aid to Ukraine. He unequivocally stated that the destruction of the tracks is an act of sabotage aimed at undermining the safety of the country and its citizens.
