Raspberry prices have fallen: Ukrainians named the main reason
According to hvylya.net: The decline in raspberry prices in Ukraine is a result of increased supply in the market. According to the analytical platform EastFruit, wholesale raspberry prices have on average decreased by 15% and now range from 160-250 UAH per kilogram. Ukrainian gardeners explain this situation by the active harvesting of the crop and an increase in the quantity of this berry in the market.
Favorable weather conditions also played an important role in shaping the situation. Almost the entire territory of Ukraine has seen warm and sunny weather, which significantly contributed to the fastest possible ripening of raspberries and allowed producers to begin active harvesting.
Despite the temporary drop in prices, raspberries in the Ukrainian market are still offered at almost double the price compared to last year. Many producers predict further price decline due to the expected increase in supply volumes in the market thanks to active harvesting.
Thus, the decline in raspberry prices in the Ukrainian market is caused by increased supply due to active harvesting and favorable weather conditions; however, prices remain higher compared to last year.
