Where is it more expensive to refuel a car: in Poland or Ukraine

Fuel prices in Ukraine and Poland continue to change, affecting the expenses of drivers on both sides of the border. According to the latest data, gasoline and diesel in Ukraine are currently more expensive than in Poland, while autogas remains cheaper at Ukrainian gas stations. This is reported by inPoland.

According to an analysis by e-petrol.pl, in Poland, a liter of A-95 gasoline costs 5.74 zlotys, which is 0.7 zloty more than a week earlier. Diesel has risen to 5.99 zlotys, autogas has reached 2.77 zlotys per liter.

Fuel prices in Poland: current figures

The highest prices are recorded in the Masovian Voivodeship, where gasoline and diesel exceed the national average. The cheapest fuel can be found in Silesia, where A-95 costs about 5.60 zlotys per liter.

Average prices in Poland are as follows:

  • Gasoline A-95 - 5.74 zlotys/l

  • Diesel - 5.99 zlotys/l

  • Autogas - 2.77 zlotys/l.

Refueling costs in Ukraine: what the market shows

In Ukraine, the average price of A-95 gasoline in February 2026 is 50.50-52.00 UAH per liter, which is approximately equivalent to 6.50-6.70 zlotys. Diesel fuel costs 53.00-55.00 UAH per liter or 6.90-7.10 zlotys.

At the same time, autogas in Ukraine is significantly cheaper - about 21.00-22.00 UAH per liter, which is noticeably lower than Polish prices.

Experts note that both countries experience regional differences. In Ukraine, it is more expensive to refuel in Kyiv and large cities due to logistics costs, while in Poland, the highest prices are traditionally recorded in Mazovia.
