The average salary of regular employees in Kyiv in the second quarter of 2026 amounted to 47,838 UAH, but the difference between the districts of the capital exceeds 20,000 UAH. This is significantly higher than the salaries in Kyiv job vacancies, where employers offered an average of 36,174 UAH in August. This is reported by the Judicial and Legal Newspaper.

The leader is the Pechersk district, where the average nominal salary of a regular employee in the second quarter reached 54,596 UAH. The Holosiivskyi district had a nearly identical result - 54,564 UAH. The difference between them is only 32 UAH.

The third position is occupied by the Podil district with a figure of 53,885 UAH. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, the average salary was 48,341 UAH, while in the Solomianskyi district it was 46,485 UAH.

Thus, only in three districts did the average salary exceed 50,000 UAH:

  1. Pechersk - 54,596 UAH;
  2. Holosiivskyi - 54,564 UAH;
  3. Podil - 53,885 UAH.

High figures are partly explained by the concentration of large companies, government institutions, and enterprises with high-paying employees in the central districts. For example, in June, the average salary in the field of information and telecommunications in the capital reached 88,878 UAH. Earlier, Inkorr analyzed in which sectors they pay the most.

The lowest salary in Kyiv is recorded in the Desnyanskyi district

In the second half of the ranking, the Obolon district ended up with an average salary of 43,297 UAH and the Sviatoshynskyi district - 41,585 UAH. In the Darnytskyi district, employees earned an average of 39,005 UAH, in the Dniprovskyi district - 38,318 UAH.

The lowest figure was recorded in the Desnyanskyi district - 33,706 UAH. This is 20,890 UAH, or about 38%, less than in the Pechersk district.

The difference between the districts is also noticeable against the backdrop of the cost of living. The Pechersk district remains the most expensive for renters: in August, the average rent for a one-room apartment there amounted to 38,300 UAH compared to 10,000 UAH in the Desnyanskyi district.

It is important to note that statistics refer specifically to the average monthly nominal salary of regular employees of enterprises, institutions, and organizations. It does not reflect the typical salary of a specific profession and does not encompass all income of the district's residents.

Recall that in July, Kyiv remained the region with the highest average salary in Ukraine - 49,463 UAH.
