DeepSeek recognized as the best AI for cryptocurrency trading

In the world of cryptocurrency trading, a new competition has unfolded among artificial intelligences. The Nof1 team launched the open benchmark Alpha Arena, where the most powerful AI models, including GPT-5, Gemini 2.5 Pro, Claude Sonnet 4.5, DeepSeek V-3.1, Grok 4, and Qwen3, received $10,000 in real funds for trading cryptocurrency. Each system independently decides how to invest this money. 

Nof1 analysts noted that the models mainly place bets based on technical analysis and do not take into account the informational background, which can also significantly impact market fluctuations. After the first day, the leader was the DeepSeek system, which increased its starting deposit by nearly $800. Following it are Grok 4 and Claude Sonnet 4.5, earning a few hundred. In contrast, GPT-5, Qwen3, and Gemini 2.5 Pro found themselves in the negative: despite a strong start, Gemini was unable to maintain its profit.

Nof1 experts explained that Alpha Arena is not just an experiment, but an attempt to objectively assess which artificial intelligence best understands market patterns. In a previous test, when each AI had only $200, Grok 4 managed to multiply its capital more than five times thanks to successful short trades. However, analysts caution that such a result is more of a coincidence than a pattern.

According to the organizers, the current round of competitions will last a few weeks. After the Alpha Arena concludes, the team plans to update the algorithms and launch a new series of contests with improved conditions.
