According to ХВИЛЯ: The state is launching the 'Winter Support' program, under which certain categories of citizens can receive a one-time payment of 6500 hryvnias. This assistance is designated for single pensioners who applied for it by December 17.
As of December 18, 414295 applications for assistance were submitted, of which 350866 were approved. The state has already financed over 272.5 thousand requests, indicating the program's activity. The payment of 6500 hryvnias allows pensioners to use the funds for purchases within 180 days from the moment of crediting.
Financial Activity and Program Goals
According to data on December 18, 67829 transactions were made for purchasing clothing and footwear, while another 13711 purchases were made in pharmacies. This initiative is part of a broader assistance program that has been operating since August 2023 under the auspices of the UN, with payments amounting to approximately 219 million hryvnias per month. However, in July 2025, these payments were suspended due to funding restrictions.
