Its capacity is 7.5 million tons of oil annually. This refinery is the only one not only in the region but throughout the Rostov region. Its products are used to meet the needs of the armed forces of Russia.
On the night of August 21, drones attacked the Rostov region. According to local channels, the Novoshakhtinsk Oil Refinery was under fire, reports 'Glavkom'. It is reported that first locals heard explosions that rang out near the oil refinery. Subsequently, information appeared that hits were recorded on the territory of the enterprise.
