According to Главком: The State Bureau of Investigations is examining the details of a fatal traffic accident involving Ukrainian MP Orest Salamakha, which occurred on January 25 in the Lviv region. The incident involved a collision between a quad bike, which the deputy was driving, and a public bus. Authorities are now considering opening a formal criminal case.
The crash took place in the evening of January 25, at approximately 6:15 PM, in the village of Sokilnyky, Lviv region. The quad bike entered the lane of oncoming traffic, leading to the collision with the bus. As a result of the accident, Orest Salamakha sustained severe injuries and later died in hospital. It is reported that the passengers on the bus were not injured.
Investigation and Public Reaction
Investigators from the State Bureau are currently examining the scene, interviewing witnesses, and gathering evidence.
