Sobol's Transfer to Jablonec Finalized

According to Главком: Czech football club Jablonec has signed Ukrainian defender Eduard Sobol as a free agent. The move follows Sobol's termination of his contract with French side Strasbourg. His previous deal with Strasbourg was set to run until the summer of 2026, but the player featured in just one official match this season.

Sobol has signed a one-and-a-half-year contract with Jablonec, marking a return to the club where he previously played on loan during the 2018/19 season. This move represents a significant opportunity for the player to regain consistent playing time at a competitive level. Following his initial spell in the Czech Republic, he spent four years at Belgian club Club Brugge, where he won the league championship three times. Sobol has now joined Jablonec's training camp in Turkey to prepare for the challenges ahead with his new-old team.

Sobol's Significance for the Club

Club representative Zdenek Koukal emphasized that 'Jablonec is not just acquiring an experienced player, but a person who has competed at the highest level in the Champions League.'

The transfer of Eduard Sobol to Jablonec could be a pivotal step in the career of a footballer eager to return to active play at a high level after limited opportunities at Strasbourg. His experience with top European clubs, particularly Club Brugge, could positively impact Jablonec's performances in both domestic and international competitions.

As the club aims to reach new heights, the signing of Sobol may prove to be a key component in their future ambitions.
