According to Міністерство Здоров'я: In Ukraine, digital medical services such as electronic prescriptions, referrals, and medical reports are now accessible without requiring patients to own a smartphone. This development significantly broadens healthcare accessibility for many individuals. Instead of registering online independently, patients can have a healthcare professional complete their enrollment in the Electronic Health System (ESoZ) during their visit to a medical facility. To verify identity, patients need to provide either a phone number or official identification documents.

Features of Electronic Medical Services

The range of digital healthcare offerings includes:

• Electronic prescriptions (e-Prescriptions)
• Electronic referrals (e-Referrals)
• Medical assessments and reports
• Additional essential functionalities

Notably, using a smartphone or any mobile device is not mandatory to register with ESoZ. If patients have a phone capable of receiving SMS messages, they can obtain updates about their e-Prescriptions, e-Requests, e-Referrals, and medical reports via text notifications-provided their current phone number is recorded in the system.

For those without mobile phones, authentication can be completed using identification documents registered in ESoZ. While SMS alerts are not available in this case, patients still retain full access to digital medical services.
