Energy Situation in Kyiv

According to ХВИЛЯ: The energy situation in Kyiv will improve by Thursday after massive attacks on the energy system. The enemy carried out 44 attacks on energy facilities, including in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Sumy, and Poltava regions. These strikes have become some of the most large-scale during the great war, which significantly affected the energy infrastructure.

Despite the difficult conditions, energy workers were able to restore the supply of heat carrier and electricity in record time. Currently, planned and emergency energy supply schedules are in effect, allowing to stabilize the situation in the regions that experienced strikes. The government has outlined an action plan for further stabilization of the energy system.

According to Yulia Svyrydenko, a significant improvement in the situation in Kyiv will take time, and the government is aiming for Thursday.

Critical infrastructure of strategic importance is not shut down, and the import of electricity is being increased. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) is installing powerful generators to unload the system, as well as conducting an audit of 'Points of Resilience'. Educational and work processes are optimized for the cold period, and round-the-clock hotlines are in operation to support the population:
