Euro Swimming Under 23: Ukraine won eight medals

The European Swimming Championship for athletes under 23 has concluded in Samorin, Slovakia, marking the second such event in history. This was reported by

This competition also served as the final qualifying tournament for the 2025 World Aquatics Championships.
Successes of the Ukrainian Team
The national team of Ukraine finished the tournament with 8 medals - 7 silver and 1 bronze:
- Alexander Zheltakov became a two-time silver medalist - in the 100m and 200m backstroke events.
- Vladislav Bukhov added two silver medals to Ukraine's tally - in the 50m freestyle and butterfly events.
- Vladimir Lisovets also secured two silvers - in the 50m and 100m breaststroke.
- Vadim Naumenko finished second in the 200m individual medley.
- Maxim Ovchinnikov claimed a bronze medal in the 200m breaststroke.
We remind that Ukrainian juniors triumphed at the European Diving Championship.
European Diving Championship
From June 23 to 29, the European Diving Championship for juniors-2025 took place in the capital of Greece, Athens. This year, 176 athletes from 27 countries participated in the tournament.
Ukraine was represented by 13 talented athletes - 11 experienced competitors and two debutants: Veronika Andrashchuk and Nazar Konoenko.
Our team once again demonstrated the highest level of skill, endurance, and team spirit.
The Ukrainian juniors have a total of 12 medals: 6 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze.
Events in the sports life of Ukraine continue to delight with positive results. At this championship, young Ukrainian athletes showcased their high level of skill and readiness to compete on the international stage. The athletes' results are impressive, indicating the growth of Ukrainian swimming and diving.
