European Commissioner Koss in Ukraine: assessing progress before negotiations with the EU

European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Koss has arrived in Ukraine for a working visit. She is assessing whether our legislation meets European standards before the start of negotiations for Ukraine's accession to the EU. In addition, she emphasizes Ukraine's successful path towards European membership. Interestingly, Marta Koss visited schools with Hungarian and Slovak languages of instruction to highlight the importance of protecting the rights of national minorities for Ukraine's accession to the EU. She is also scheduled to meet with representatives of the Council of National Minorities to discuss legal aspects. Another important part of Koss's visit is the inspection of the railway that meets European standards, improving connections between Ukraine and the EU. This will not only promote trade and investment but also aid in further integrating Ukraine into the European Union's transport network. Marta Koss will also discuss reforms and support for internally displaced persons as part of her visit to Ukraine.
