They secured their place by winning the national selection competition, Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK) 2026, achieving a record-breaking 492 points from the public vote-the highest in the history of UMK. Their total score of 570 points earned them first place in the final. The Eurovision Song Contest is a major international event where public votes play a crucial role in determining the winner.
