According to Главком: Finland will be represented at the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna by the duo Linda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen with their song 'Liekinheitin'. They secured their place by winning the national selection competition, Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK) 2026, achieving a record-breaking 492 points from the public vote-the highest in the history of UMK. Their total score of 570 points earned them first place in the final. The Eurovision Song Contest is a major international event where public votes play a crucial role in determining the winner.
Linda Lampenius, also known as Linda Brava, is 56 years old, while her partner Pete Parkkonen is 36. Parkkonen first gained fame by finishing third on Idols Finland in 2008 and later won Dancing with the Stars Finland in 2014.
