France will transfer Mirage fighters to Ukraine: what else was promised to Zelensky
According to glavcom.ua: The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced that France and Britain will assist our country with weapons. He stated this in an evening address, noting that Ukraine will receive additional Mirage fighters and missiles for air defense from these countries.
"This week we have moved closer to the necessary decisions: I had my conversation with the Chancellor of Germany, and we are also speaking with some other partners in Europe regarding 'patriots'. I want to separately thank Britain and France – there is a decision from France regarding additional 'Mirage' fighters for Ukraine and missiles for air defense, and Britain will continue to assist us with air defense – also with missiles, and in the production of interception drones – thank you for this.
Zelensky also noted that the European PURL program will receive new contributions from Finland and Spain for the purchase of American weapons. He emphasized that he is working on strengthening the country’s defense together with our European partners.
There are new decisions regarding support for Ukraine from European countries
On October 24, Volodymyr Zelensky also reported positive decisions from European countries that could significantly support Ukraine. Belgium is ready to transfer F-16 fighters to Ukraine, and Great Britain – five thousand missiles of various types, which is a significant step in strengthening the country’s defense.
