Drone Incident Near the Nuclear-Powered Carrier 'Charles de Gaulle'

According to Главком: French Armed Forces Headquarters has provided details about an incident involving an unidentified drone that approached the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier 'Charles de Gaulle' in Malmö, Sweden. The drone was detected and neutralized by Swedish security forces while the carrier was participating in the NATO Orion-26 military exercises. This event highlights the persistent security challenges faced by naval assets in strategic waters.

While the 'Charles de Gaulle' was docked in Malmö, the Swedish Armed Forces identified a drone moving toward the vessel. It was intercepted approximately 10 kilometers from the port and neutralized using electronic warfare measures. According to the French Armed Forces staff, the Swedish security system performed flawlessly, and the drone's neutralization did not disrupt the carrier's operations.

The origin of the drone, its intentions, or its target have not yet been determined. The incident occurred against the backdrop of a Russian warship's presence in the Öresund Strait, which drew additional attention to the regional situation.
