NATO launches Operation Eastern Sentinel: how the Alliance will combat drones
According to glavcom.ua: NATO has decided to focus on protecting the population and territory from potential threats and will spend money on acquiring heavy equipment for this purpose. The Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, Alexander Grinkevich, spoke about successful operations to destroy drones over Poland and emphasized the importance of protecting civilians from possible threats.
«When fighter pilots or other defenders are defending our alliance, it is important that they have no doubts about the weapons used. Our goal is to protect the lives of citizens», General Grinkevich emphasized.
Operation 'Eastern Sentinel' will aim to provide NATO member countries with affordable and effective self-defense weapons. The Alliance plans to use the experience of Ukraine in countering drones to enhance security on its territory.
