Ukraine War Update

According to Главком: As of 10:00 PM on May 29, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released its latest combat report, highlighting intense enemy activity. Over the course of the day, Russian forces carried out:

  • 63 airstrikes;
  • 190 guided aerial bombs;
  • 5,508 kamikaze drones.

A total of 1,922 shelling incidents targeted Ukrainian positions and populated areas. The day saw 228 combat engagements across the front.

Frontline Situation

The most intense fighting occurred on the Pokrovsk axis, where Ukrainian forces eliminated 36 Russian troops and wounded 18 others. Additionally, on this axis, the following were destroyed:

  • 3 vehicles;
  • 6 pieces of specialized equipment;
  • 1 fuel depot;
  • 1 drone command post.

Damage inflicted on the Pokrovsk axis included:

  • 10 vehicles;
  • 4 pieces of specialized equipment;
  • 1 multiple rocket launcher system;
  • 4 artillery systems;
  • 66 troop shelters.

In total, 200 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were either destroyed or suppressed.

Fighting also continued on other fronts. On the Northern Slobozhansk and Kursk axes, the enemy launched 47 shelling attacks, 6 of which involved multiple rocket launchers. On the Southern Slobozhansk axis, Russian forces assaulted Ukrainian positions 4 times. The following attacks were recorded:

  • 4 enemy assaults on the Kupiansk axis;
  • 7 attempts to advance on the Lyman axis;
  • 1 attempt on the Sloviansk axis;
  • 2 attempts on the Kramatorsk axis;
  • 11 on the Kostiantynivka axis;
  • 44 attacks on the Pokrovsk axis;
  • 2 on the Oleksandrivka axis;
  • 27 attacks on the Huliaipole axis;
  • 7 attempts to advance on the Orikhiv axis.

This marks the 1,556th day of Russia’s full-scale war in Ukraine. The latest data indicates a persistently difficult frontline situation, with active hostilities across multiple sectors.

Military operations in Ukraine continue at a high tempo, reflecting the ongoing struggle between both sides for territorial control. Given the high number of shelling incidents and combat clashes, it is important to note that frontline developments could have severe consequences for civilians and the humanitarian situation in affected regions.
