According to Главком: As of July 6, 2026, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has released new data on Russian occupier losses. This marks the 1,594th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine. According to the latest report, Russian military personnel losses have reached 1,411,050, with an increase of 1,420 in the past day.

Military Equipment Destroyed

In terms of military hardware, the following losses have been recorded:

  • Tanks – 12,088 units (increase of +7)
  • Armored combat vehicles – 24,894 units (increase of +16)
  • Artillery systems – 45,451 units (increase of +63)
  • Multiple launch rocket systems – 1,917 units (increase of +1)
  • Air defense systems – 1,473 units (increase of +3)
  • Aircraft – 436 units (increase of 0)
  • Helicopters – 353 units (increase of 0)
  • Ground robotic complexes – 1,833 units (increase of +12)
  • Operational-tactical UAVs – 392,717 units (increase of +1,979)

The estimated cost of Russian losses in cruise missiles is approximately $14.55 billion, based on an average price of $3 million per missile. Drone losses are valued at around $11.72 billion, calculated at $30,000 per unit. Aviation losses, including aircraft, total $13.08 billion (average $30 million per plane), while helicopter losses amount to $5.29 billion (average $15 million per helicopter). Destroyed tanks are valued at $30.22 billion, with an average cost of $2.5 million per tank, and artillery system losses come to roughly $68.18 billion (average $1.5 million each).

Furthermore, losses in armored combat vehicles are estimated at $14.94 billion (median price $600,000 per unit), and air defense system losses at about $22.09 billion (based on an average cost of $15 million per air defense system or radar station). Russian naval losses are estimated at $1.98 billion for ships and boats (average ship cost ~$60 million) and $600 million for submarines.

These figures highlight the substantial military toll Russia has sustained during the conflict, now in its fourth year. The Ukrainian General Staff continues to monitor the situation and provide up-to-date assessments of enemy forces.

The updated loss data underscores the protracted nature of the war and the heavy material costs borne by Russia. This may indicate a growing need for resources and military infrastructure support, as well as the necessity to adapt battlefield strategies.
