Russian Casualty Figures as of January 30, 2026

According to Главком: As the full-scale war in Ukraine entered its 1,437th day, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released updated figures on Russian military losses as of the morning of January 30, 2026. According to the report, total personnel losses now stand at approximately 1,238,710, representing an increase of 1,310 from the previous update. These figures, compiled by Ukrainian military intelligence, are a key metric for assessing the war's intensity and have been consistently disputed by Russian authorities.

Equipment Losses

In addition to personnel, Russia has sustained massive equipment losses. The reported figures include:

  • 11,614 tanks (+1)
  • 23,969 armored combat vehicles (+4)
  • 36,748 artillery systems (+15)
  • 1,631 multiple launch rocket systems (+2)
  • 1,289 air defense systems (+1)
  • 435 fixed-wing aircraft (no change)
  • 347 helicopters (no change)

Furthermore, losses in operational-tactical level unmanned aerial vehicles have reached 119,234 units (+555). The count of cruise missiles has hit 4,205 units. Other documented losses include 28 ships and boats, 2 submarines, 76,319 units of automotive equipment and fuel tankers (+129), and 4,054 units of special equipment (+1). The scale of these losses underscores the immense material cost of the conflict for Russia and highlights the effectiveness of Western-supplied weaponry in Ukrainian hands.

The data confirms the continuation of intense combat operations in Ukraine, now in its fifth year. The significant depletion of both personnel and equipment points to a challenging operational situation for Russian forces. This published information is likely to influence future military strategies for both sides and may impact the level of international support for Ukraine in its fight to defend its territorial integrity.
