According to glavcom.ua: Experts from the Pasteur Institute have expressed concern that bird flu could become more dangerous to humanity than Covid-19 if it starts spreading among people. Currently, the virus is spreading among animals, but the possibility of its mutation raises serious discussions.
The medical director of the respiratory infections center at the Pasteur Institute warns: if bird flu becomes pandemic among humans, the consequences could be much more serious than the already known Covid-19 pandemic.
Humans have antibodies to some strains of flu, but not to all. Therefore, by focusing on banning bird flu in its very early stages, we can avoid a large-scale epidemic among people.
The world remains on alert but is also prepared for a possible threat and has significantly better capabilities to overcome a bird flu epidemic than in the past.
