On the first day of 2026, power outage schedules will be implemented in all regions of Ukraine on an hourly basis. The restrictions will also affect industrial consumers in the form of power limitation schedules. The reason is damage to energy facilities due to Russian missile and drone attacks. This is reported by Ukrenergo.

According to NEC Ukrenergo, the restriction measures will apply across the country without exception. Hourly power outage schedules will be applied for domestic consumers, while power limitations will be enforced for enterprises.

Energy experts explain that the decision was made due to the difficult state of the energy system after massive attacks which resulted in damage to key electricity generation and transmission facilities.

Power Outage Schedules on January 1: Advice for Consumers

Ukrenergo emphasizes that the situation in the energy system remains dynamic and can change throughout the day. The time and duration of power outages depend on the region and the current balance in the network.

Consumers are advised to:

  • check the power outage schedules on the official pages of the electricity distribution companies in their region;

  • use electricity sparingly during hours when power is supplied according to the schedule;

  • if possible, shift energy-intensive household processes to nighttime.

Energy specialists emphasize that following recommendations will help reduce the load on the system and shorten the duration of the limitations.

Recall that two days ago, Ukrenergo introduced emergency power outages in Ukraine due to the consequences of shelling by Russia.
