The House of Skovoroda in Kharkiv Region Transferred to the Community: What Will Happen to the Landmark
According to glavcom.ua: In the village of Velykyi Burluk in Kharkiv Region, an 18th-century house where the famous philosopher Hryhorii Skovoroda once lived has been transferred to municipal ownership. The court's decision was made after the historical site of local significance lacked a balance holder. The area of the house is 1587 sq. m, and its value exceeds 39 million hryvnias. The registration of ownership rights for this landmark will not only help preserve the historical object but also enable effective management to prevent its deterioration.
It should be noted that another site related to Hryhorii Skovoroda - the estate in the village of Babai - is also in a state of emergency due to a lack of necessary financial resources for restoration. Local residents and the initiative group 'Skovoroda Step' are trying to preserve this historical heritage by organizing clean-ups and developing a tourist route as part of the project.
