IFC and NovaSklo are building the first float glass plant in Ukraine: project details
The joint project of the International Finance Corporation and NovaSklo opens the door to the creation of the first high-tech float glass production in Ukraine. Under the agreement reached in Kyiv, IFC and Japan will provide NovaSklo with support and consultation in implementing the project.
The investment volume in the project will amount to €250 million, with the construction completion scheduled for 2028, after which the enterprise will provide over 300 jobs. The production of float glass is important for national projects in construction and the development of solar energy, as Ukraine has a steady demand for this material.
Leading international technology partners are involved in the implementation of the project, ensuring quality and a high production level. The launch of float glass in Ukraine will open new opportunities for industrial development and growth of the country's economy.
The described project is an important step in creating local supply chains, developing new industrial sectors, and strengthening Ukraine's economic resilience.
