On March 1, 2026, Ukraine will have its traditional pension indexing. Most pensioners will receive an increase, but some citizens will not feel the rise. This is reported by RBK-Ukraine.

Pension indexing from March 1, 2026: how much payments will increase

Minister of Social Policy Denis Uliutin reported that from March 1, pensions for most Ukrainians will be indexed by 12.1%. According to him, this figure exceeds the inflation rate of the past year by 4%.

The recalculation will take place automatically, without contacting the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

Who will not see pension increases during the March indexing

According to the minister, from March 1, payments will not change for certain categories:

  • Pensioners whose payments were previously brought to the minimum guaranteed level

  • Individuals receiving the maximum pension of 25,950 hryvnias

  • Prosecutors and judges in retirement.

Indexing will also not affect those whose pensions have already been adjusted to established legal limits.

Earlier, on January 1, 2026, pension increases already took place in Ukraine. The increase is related to the rise in the minimum wage to 8,647 hryvnias and the subsistence minimum to 2,595 hryvnias:

  • The minimum pension rose to 2,595 hryvnias

  • The maximum pension is 25,950 hryvnias

  • For pensioners aged 65 years and older with 30 or 35 years of service, the minimum payment has been increased to 3,458.80 hryvnias

  • The supplement for overwork has been increased to 1% of the new minimum for each year.

Working pensioners will receive increases only after retirement.

Recall that the Pension Fund of Ukraine provided information about the financing of social payments as of February 16. In February, 824.3 thousand services were provided to individuals who contacted the bodies of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
