Online Meeting Between Ukraine and Spain

According to Главком: Acting Head of Ukraine's State Border Guard Service, Valerii Vavryniuk, held an online meeting with Spain's Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles. This discussion followed a charitable visit by the Santa Clara Monastery mission, which delivered vehicles, ambulances, off-road cars, and medical equipment to Ukrainian border guards. All provided supplies are designated for units operating in southern Ukraine.

The Spanish side reaffirmed its support for Ukraine, stating the country is ready to help

"as much as is needed."

It was also emphasized that

"decisions on ending the war must be made by Ukrainians themselves,"

underscoring Spain's commitment to Ukraine's sovereignty and independence amid the ongoing conflict. This stance aligns with the broader European Union policy of supporting Ukraine's right to self-determination.

Support for Ukraine from Italy and the United Kingdom

In a separate development, Italy confirmed it will provide military assistance to Ukraine through 2026. Rome has agreed to continue supplying Kyiv with all necessary aid, including military support, for the coming year. This long-term commitment from a major European economy provides Ukraine with greater predictability in its defense planning.

Additionally, the first Ukrainian defense manufacturing plant in the United Kingdom has commenced operations-a production facility for the company Ukrspecsystems. Launching production in the UK represents a significant step in developing Ukraine's defense industry and demonstrates deepening cooperation with international partners. Establishing such facilities abroad helps secure supply chains and fosters technological exchange.

These developments mark important milestones in strengthening international backing for Ukraine. The reaffirmed commitments from Spain and Italy to continue military and humanitarian aid reflect growing European solidarity. Furthermore, the opening of the Ukrainian defense plant in the UK indicates an intensification of defense industry collaboration, which could enhance Ukraine's capacity to ensure its security and sovereignty.
