United Airlines to Launch 11 New Routes to Europe in 2027: Where the Planes Will Fly
One of the largest airlines in the USA United Airlines has announced a major expansion of its European route network for the summer season of 2027. The carrier will launch 11 routes from New York, Washington, and Denver, as well as resume four seasonal flights. This is reported by Avianews.
The new routes will connect the USA with cities in France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Slovenia, and Luxembourg. Some flights will be operated by narrow-body Airbus A321XLR and Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with a capacity of up to 200 passengers.
New United Airlines Flights to Europe in April-June 2027
The first new route will be launched on April 2, 2027. Overall, the airline announced the following flights:

Newark - Luxembourg - from April 2, daily, Airbus A321XLR;

Newark - Ljubljana - from May 12, 4 times a week, Boeing 767-400ER;

The use of Airbus A321XLR and Boeing 737 MAX 8 on some transatlantic routes allows United Airlines to operate with fewer passengers needed to fill the aircraft compared to wide-body jets.
Seasonal United Airlines Flights to Europe Will Return in Summer 2027
In addition to 11 new routes, United Airlines plans to resume four seasonal destinations that the airline serves in 2026.
From New York, planes will once again fly to Split in Croatia, Bari in Italy, Glasgow in the United Kingdom, and Santiago de Compostela in Spain.
Thus, as part of the expansion of the summer program in 2027, United Airlines will add or return 15 routes between the USA and European destinations.
