Російські війська завдали потужного удару по дев'яти регіонах: які наслідки цього нападу?

On the night of October 5, Russia carried out one of the most large-scale attacks in recent times - over 50 missiles and about 500 strike drones targeted nine regions of Ukraine. The regions hit included Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Odesa, and Kirovohrad. As a result of the attacks, five people were killed, and ten others were injured.

Response of the international community

The head of European diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, directly linked this attack to the military failures of the Kremlin. 'Russia is masking its failed summer offensive with terror attacks on the Ukrainian civilian population and infrastructure,' she wrote on social media X.

According to Kallas, the European Union continues to increase support for Ukraine: another sanctions package against the Russian Federation is being worked out, financing is being provided, and weapons are being supplied. 'Russia will not stop until forced to,' the head of European diplomacy emphasized.

Calls for support for Ukraine

The President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, also called for strengthening assistance to Ukraine. She emphasized the need not only to increase but also to accelerate the provision of support against the backdrop of the escalation of Russian attacks.

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, described the footage from the railway station in Shostka, where strikes targeted passenger trains with civilians, as shocking.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, emphasized that Russian strikes were aimed at the infrastructure that supports people's lives. He once again appealed to international partners to provide Ukraine with more air defense systems to protect the civilian population.

As a result of one of the largest attacks in recent times, Russia launched over 50 missiles and sent about 500 drones into Ukrainian territory, affecting nine regions and leading to casualties and injuries among dozens of people. The international community, led by Kaja Kallas, highlighted the importance of supporting Ukraine amid the escalation of the conflict and condemned the Kremlin's terrorist actions against the civilian population.
