Ukrainians have seen fresh prices for watermelons and melons in supermarkets and at markets. With the arrival of the season for juicy watermelons and fragrant melons, Ukrainians are actively comparing prices at different retail outlets, as these summer fruits have become an integral part of the family diet. Many families specifically plan their budget for purchasing these sweet delicacies, which not only refresh on hot days but also serve as a source of vitamins and beneficial substances.

Prices for watermelons fluctuate between 16.90 to 52.99 UAH per kilogram, depending on the variety and origin. Regular watermelons cost around 16-20 UAH, while imported or special varieties can reach 34-53 UAH per kilogram.

Melons in supermarkets are offered at an even broader price range. Ukrainian melons can be purchased for 35-45 UAH, Uzbek varieties will cost 40-50 UAH, while the premium segment with 'Galia' melons may range from 59 to 139 UAH per kilogram.

At Kyiv markets, Ukrainian watermelons can be bought significantly cheaper - from 14 to 18 UAH per kilogram, which is almost one and a half times more economical compared to supermarket prices. Ukrainian melons at the market cost 35-45 UAH, while Uzbek ones are priced at 40-50 UAH per kilogram, which practically corresponds to supermarket prices for similar products.

It was previously reported that prices for dairy products in Ukraine have changed.

With the start of the watermelon and melon season, Ukrainians are actively comparing prices for these juicy fruits, which have become an important part of the summer diet. Prices vary depending on the variety and place of purchase, but it is worth noting that they can be bought cheaper at markets than in supermarkets.
