According to Главком: In Kyiv, police from the Dnipro district have held a 46-year-old Kyiv resident accountable for demonstratively walking around with a fake firearm in a supermarket, causing panic among visitors. Information about the incident was received from the supermarket administrator, who reported the man's unusual behavior to law enforcement.
Police arrived at the scene and seized the fake firearm. As a result of the actions of the Kyiv resident, an administrative protocol was drawn up under Article 173 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses, which provides for liability for petty hooliganism. The administrative material has already been sent to court for further consideration.
Previous Incidents
It is worth noting that law enforcement had previously detained this same Kyiv resident for another incident in which he threatened with a firearm in the Podil district. This case raises concerns among the capital's residents and underscores the need for increased control over similar situations.
