The next day, January 9, significant snow and blizzards are forecasted, corresponding to the first level of danger. The snow cover increase will amount to 5-10 cm, and in the western and northern parts of the Kyiv region, this figure may reach 20 cm.

As of the evening of January 7, to prepare for the weather conditions, about 276 units of special equipment have been engaged in clearing highways and bridges. More than two thousand employees are working on processing adjacent territories, parks, and squares. In case of violation of landscaping norms, entrepreneurs may receive fines of up to 1700 hryvnias. It is noteworthy that on January 7, Kyiv was engulfed by an icy element.
