According to Главком: On June 30, Kyiv and the Kyiv region will implement hourly electricity shutdown schedules. This decision comes in response to an abnormal heatwave and a sharp surge in power consumption. The information was released by a specialized channel covering electricity and water supply issues in Kyiv and the Kyiv region. Sergiy Kovalenko, CEO of Yasno, confirmed the rollout of these new schedules.

The extreme heatwave that has gripped much of Europe since June 21 has already claimed over 1,300 lives. Considered the most severe in recorded meteorological history for Western and Central Europe, this heatwave has significantly impacted the energy sector.
