Situation with electricity supply in Kyiv

According to ХВИЛЯ: Kyiv finds itself in a difficult situation with electricity supply, as the entire city is currently in emergency outage mode. The deterioration of electricity supply on the right bank of the capital has led to its indicators matching those of the left bank. This complicates the situation for residents who are facing frequent power outages.

The General Director of the energy company Yasno, Serhiy Kovalenko, reported that there is a huge number of applications from consumers. However, he noted that only a third of these appeals relate to actual emergencies on the networks.

“It is important to understand that the resources of the crews are limited. And it turns out that about 70% of the callouts are conditionally false,”

Kovalenko said, emphasizing the complexity of the situation.

Problems with water supply in Irpin

In addition, the government has also drawn attention to the problem of water supply in the suburbs of the capital. Deputy Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko held an urgent conversation with the leadership of the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration regarding the crisis in Irpin. In response to this situation, appropriate equipment for backup power supply was sent to Irpin. Svyrydenko emphasized the importance of promptly restoring normal water supply without schedules:

“Normal water supply without schedules must be restored as quickly as possible.”

The situation with electricity and water supply in Kyiv and its suburbs remains tense, and the local authorities are making efforts to address these issues. Alongside the restoration of energy infrastructure, ensuring stable water supply is crucial, as it affects not only the comfort of residents but also the overall health of the population.

The further steps of the government and energy companies may influence the development of the situation in the coming days.
