According to ХВИЛЯ: Mobile operator Kyivstar will raise the monthly subscription fees for a selection of its legacy tariff plans starting March 1, with increases ranging from 50 to 90 hryvnias. Kyivstar's move to increase fees for older plans is part of a broader industry trend where operators are adapting their offerings in response to rising operational costs and shifting consumer habits. This is a common practice globally as companies phase out older, less profitable plans. The enhanced roaming benefits may be a significant factor for subscribers who frequently travel abroad, though it raises questions about the value for those who do not use such services. Analyst observations indicate a growing consumer preference for data-centric plans, reflecting a fundamental shift in how people communicate.
