According to hvylya.net: In the Novopavlivka direction, Russian troops are preparing for weather conditions and using special camouflage to protect themselves from Ukrainian drones. This was reported by Taras Shevchenko, deputy commander of the 214th separate assault battalion OPFOR on Army TV.
Strategy of Using Special Camouflage
According to him, the occupiers choose unfavorable weather conditions for attacks – rain or fog. The enemy activates during the 'gray' moments in the morning or evening, while during the day they try to move through wooded areas. The Russians operate exclusively in small groups, sometimes even in pairs. They use 'kikimoras' and anti-thermal capes for camouflage against Ukrainian drones. The 'kill zone' in the direction has increased to 10 kilometers, and drones with fiber optics are widely used.
Camouflage is becoming an increasingly important element of military tactics in the Novopavlivka direction. Russian troops are adapting to the conditions and trying to avoid detection by Ukrainian forces through special measures.
